Mural Custody

In the Mural Custodial Model, Mural provides in-house, managed custody of funds on behalf of the Organizations you administer through the API. Under this model, Mural is responsible for the safeguarding, movement, and settlement of funds, while exposing programmatic access to balances and transactions via Mural’s APIs.

Custodial services are offered in jurisdictions where Mural is authorized to operate, either directly under Mural’s own Money Transmission Licenses (MTLs) or through licensing sponsorship arrangements with partner banks and financial institutions. Depending on the state and use case, custody and money movement activities are conducted pursuant to the applicable license or sponsor framework.

This model allows Organizations to offer regulated payment and treasury functionality without obtaining their own money transmission licenses, while benefiting from Mural’s compliance, operational controls, and regulated financial infrastructure.
